Hi, I’m Stephanie.

For anyone looking to take their business global, being able to communicate with customers in flowing, authentic English is essential. That’s where I come in! I take a creative approach to translation and copywriting, re-crafting a brand’s unique voice with flair and precision. While some might run from puns, slogans and humorous language, I always rise to the challenge. In fact, I love an opportunity to get a little inventive.

My Experience

In 2015, I graduated from the University of Sheffield with a BA in German Studies. The following year, I completed an MA in Translation Studies at the same institution, graduating with Distinction.

For over 6 years now, I have worked in a variety of freelance and in-house translation/copywriting roles, developing my skills and expertise. Whether I’m translating for a major e-commerce company or writing copy for a small independent business, one thing remains the same, I have a flair for the art of translation and writing engaging texts.

I am an experienced user of translation memory software and I have spent time living in Germany, giving me an excellent understanding of the linguistic and cultural nuances of the German language.

Hobbies

When I’m not working, I have a wide range of hobbies to keep me busy. Unsurprisingly, I’m obsessed with reading and creative writing — in fact, I’m currently writing a novel of my own! Whenever I get the chance, I like to head out and explore the local countryside; something that has fantastic benefits for my mental health. I’m also an avid fan of creative bullet journaling. When I write or translate, I’m not just thinking about the words on a page, I'm tapping into the mind of a brand’s target reader. By doing this, I can create compelling, engaging content. Basically, readers will never know that it’s a translation — unless they’re supposed to of course!
